Tuesday the 1st of September Peria School hosted the Eastern Zone Cross Country and what an event it turned out to be. The rain the night before made it an interesting slippery slide for spectators but did nothing to dampen the energy and enthusiasm from the schools participating. Taipa, Mangonui, Rangiawhia, Oruaiti, Kiangaroa, Home Schoolers and Peria students all thoroughly participated and turned out in force to run the challenging course with an added tyre jump to create some excitement.
Peria School would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers who helped make the day so fantastic. The School fund raises during these events by selling food and drinks and would not be able to do so without the support from the parents, families and our wonderful community.
