My name is Ariana Williams and I have literally been counting down the days to begin as interim principal of Peria School for 2018. My teaching career has been a rich and incredibly exciting journey that has enabled me to teach in innovative educational settings at the forefront of education in Aotearoa. I have worked with clusters of schools across the country to develop ways of working more effectively with their communities to promote the best possible learning outcomes for students. The majority of my teaching experience has been in a highly effective school setting where the curriculum was driven by student inquiry that consistently produced learning outcomes that were AMAZING!
The north is home for me and the opportunity to lead learning at Peria is one I am looking forward to immensely. I intend to bring all of my knowledge and expertise to my new role along with the knowledge and expertise of the community – together I reckon we can make magic for our children!
Apart from teaching my greatest passion are my two children, Cassidy and Jordayne, who keep me grounded and real!
I’m looking forward to meeting and working with you all over the coming year.
